N'hood Meeting, Wed. April 2nd at 6:30 p.m. at MSCC

Hi Neighbors, Our next general neighborhood meeting is next Wednesday, April 2nd at 6:30 p.m. at Mt. Scott Community Center.  We have lots on the Agenda. The two owners of the two developments at 73rd and Woodstock and 77th and Martins will be attending to discuss the projects and answer questions. Also, a representative from PBOT will join us to discuss the possibility of eliminating the slip lane at 72nd and Woodstock and show us alternative designs.  Our Annual Neighborhood Clean-Up is approaching! We are looking for volunteers to help spread the word with flyers and to help out Saturday, May 3rd between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.  We will feed you. Also, board elections are coming up at the May meeting! If you want to get involved with the neighborhood association, please email Erika at MSANA.Chair@gmail.com.  We have lots of things you can help us out with: Outreach, Neighborhood Foot Patrol, Land Use, Transportation and Sustainability Issues,if you have something in mind, let us know! Special Board Meeting: Wednesday, March 26 at 6:15 - 7:00 p.m.

There will be a Special Board Meeting next Wednesday, March 26 from 6:15 -7:00 p.m. at O'Malleys (66th and Foster). See the Agenda packet below. We will be reviewing and discussing our neighborhood goals and taking action on two items: 1) A funding request for the SE Neighborhood Emergency Preparedness Workshop, and 2) A SEUL Community Engagement Grant Application to be submitted for the 2014 SE Portland Neighborhood Kickball Tournament. We hope to see 6 surrounding neighborhood associations collaborating to bring a Family Friendly Kickball game to your neighborhood park this summer. Gardens Are Happening - Got Tools?

THIS SATURDAY March 8 : TOOL STEWARDSHIP WORKSHOP AND WORKPARTY at Learning Gardens Lab. Spring Equinox is coming! The plants are growing restless. Now is the time to prepare for it all and you need tools that work to get through the year. You're invited to join your neighbors at the Learning Gardens Laboratory - 6801 SE 60th Ave - on Saturday March 8th from 10am to 1pm for their last work party of Spring Term. In preparation for spring gardening we will focus on tool stewardship. Learn how to care for tools and help us clean and sharpen the tools at LGL. You're welcome to bring your own tools to work on, but please bring sand paper and a file if you have it.
