Free/Spay Neuter in January - Happy Mew Year!

Image
The Feral Cat Coalition of Oregon is having a free spay/neuter special in January for feral and stray cats living in zip codes 97206 and 97266. Our "Happy Mew Year" special also includes a bag of free cat food for each cat . All surgeries are performed by licensed veterinarians at FCCO’s North Portland clinic. Services are donation-based and include a spay/neuter; vaccinations; flea and ear mite treatment; and an ear-tip for identification. Caregivers living outside the 97206 and 97266 zip codes can also receive a 3-pound bag of dry cat food per cat brought in, while supplies last. We're offering the special to these zip codes because within the last six months we've seen the most cats from these areas. We hope to make a positive impact in the lives of feral and stray cats your neighborhood.

Library Announcements (e-books, Slavic New Year, Immigrants, GED)

Join us at your Holgate Library as we welcome the new year in many ways... from an e-book training (January 5th) for folks who now have a new toy and would like to access the thousands of electronic books that they already own, with their library cards, to an event for immigrants (January 8th) who might be allowed to legally stay in the USA under the Deferred Action program. We're helping people prepare for GED tests (January 19th), and even celebrating a bit with a Slavic New Year program of stories and music (January 15th).
