ROSE CDC Fundraiser. You're Invited!

Greetings! 

You are invited to attend a house party fundraiser to support ROSE CDC upcoming projects! 

Join us for an evening of food and fun, featuring gourmet wood-fired pizza and opportunities to network with SE Portland business leaders, city officials, and community supporters. 

When: Tuesday, October 1st, 2013 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm

Our goal is to promote our mission and outreach to those who are not aware of our projects in SE Portland. ROSE is working on a series of new projects to build community wealth and strengthen relationships among our city’s most dynamic neighborhoods. For example, in partnership with Mercy Corp NW, we are working on implementing a Community Investment Trust that would allow low and moderate-income households to save money and begin investing in their community by collectively buying a commercial property in their neighborhood. Your support and attendance will be invaluable to ROSE. Hope to see you there!

    All, please join for the fun evening of community engagement. ROSE is an important positive impact to our n'hood, as they provide high-quality affordable housing with community extras, and they are also the ones behind the efforts to give the Wikman building some new community life and purpose, they are working for some cool uses for the Phoenix building, and more.
    Or just come for the beer, the pizza and the friends!

City of Portland Budget Hearing May 17th

Join Mayor Adams and City Council at the City of Portland Budget Hearing on Thursday, May 17. This is an opportunity to testify about the 2012-13 Mayor’s Proposed Budget and provide your input to City Council. Thursday, May 17, 2012, 6:30-8:30 PM David Douglas High School 1001 SE 135th Ave. Portland, OR 97233 Sign-in at 6:30 PM. Testimony on the proposed Portland Development Commission (PDC) budget begins at 6:30 PM.  Testimony on the Proposed Budget for the City of Portland immediately follows. Testimony will be a maximum of two minutes, based on the number of people testifying.  Testimony order will be by random drawing. If you wish to testify, but your name is not drawn, you can submit comments in writing. Online comments are accepted and can be accessed from the budget website listed below. Mt. Scott-Arleta Movie in the Park

Join us Friday night, August 6th for the MSA Movie in the Park at Mt. Scott Park . Pre-movie activities start at 6:30pm. There'll be booths featuring local organizations, food, music and the ever popular Rock Climbing Wall. The movie starts at dusk. Bring a blanket, a picnic and your friends as we celebrate National Night Out. Movie will be The Princess Bride .
