Happy New Year Mt. Scott Arleta Neighbors!
Our first meeting of the year is this Wednesday, January 7th at 6:30 p.m. at Mt. Scott Community Center in the pool-side room. Come learn about Health Care for All Oregonians and Measure 50 Tax Inequities.
A lot is happening in the Neighborhood. The Portland Mercado is expected to open this Spring. Henry Higgins Bagels is opening next to Red Castle games on 64th & Foster. The Foster Window Project will be giving a makeover to the Phoenix Building.
If you would like to get involved with this project they are looking for volunteers! See the website for more information: https://fosterwindowproject.wordpress.com/
Here's a nice article about the Foster Window Project:

A new waffle and tea shop is open on 72nd. If you've been let us know how it is.
Most importantly, the neighborhood association is made up of neighborhood volunteers and we are always looking for people who would like to get involved. It's not a huge commitment but if you would like to help spread the word, would like to learn more about getting involved in projects like the Arleta Triangle, or have transportation and land use concerns please email (msana.chair@gmail.com) or attend a meeting to get to know us.
A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL OF VOLUNTEERS!
