It's an Appreciation Shindig at the Historic Bob White Theatre!
Saturday, March 31st at 7pm - Food! Music! Fun!

Come one, come all to the Historic Bob White Theatre's opening shindig and help us show our appreciation for the Foster-Powell neighborhood! March 31st will mark the beginning of a new era for the Historic Bob White Theater with the first official event in over 20 years!

This is only the beginning of many major happenings in the works for this long forgotten palace. Things are still pretty rough around the edges and we have a lot of work ahead of us but in the meantime, let's have some fun this weekend!

 Doors open at 7pm. Come early for some refreshments and O'Malley's pizza and to hear theatre owner Nick Storie talk about the future of the Bob White Theatre as a prominent new PDX entertainment venue, as well as a place where the Foster-Powell neighborhood can celebrate music, art, culture and community.

Join Mayor Adams and City Council at the City of Portland Budget Hearing on Thursday, May 17. This is an opportunity to testify about the 2012-13 Mayor’s Proposed Budget and provide your input to City Council. Thursday, May 17, 2012, 6:30-8:30 PM David Douglas High School 1001 SE 135th Ave. Portland, OR 97233 Sign-in at 6:30 PM. Testimony on the proposed Portland Development Commission (PDC) budget begins at 6:30 PM.  Testimony on the Proposed Budget for the City of Portland immediately follows. Testimony will be a maximum of two minutes, based on the number of people testifying.  Testimony order will be by random drawing. If you wish to testify, but your name is not drawn, you can submit comments in writing. Online comments are accepted and can be accessed from the budget website listed below. Mt. Scott-Arleta Movie in the Park

Join us Friday night, August 6th for the MSA Movie in the Park at Mt. Scott Park . Pre-movie activities start at 6:30pm. There'll be booths featuring local organizations, food, music and the ever popular Rock Climbing Wall. The movie starts at dusk. Bring a blanket, a picnic and your friends as we celebrate National Night Out. Movie will be The Princess Bride .
