Annual Neighborhood Cleanup is coming!

Have you been stumped about how to get rid of stuff that just doesn’t fit in your garbage bin, or that they won’t take? We’re helping you clean up with our Annual Neighborhood Clean Up.

Saturday, May 5th, 2012,
9am to 2:30pm
At the Arleta School

We are partnering with the Foster-Powell Neighborhood Association to get dumpsters for metal recycling and bulky waste. We will also be recycling bicycles, block foam, wood and appliances (without freon).

There will be a charge for using this service, and details will be coming soon, but it beats going all the way to the dump! Bring out your junk, and spread the word to your neighbors!

This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and lots of volunteers will be needed to help unload vehicles and keep traffic moving. We expect over 125 car/truckloads of junk, and we need extra hands. It's a great way to spend a few hours volunteering, meeting neighbors and feeling good about your 'hood. We have lots of food and drinks for our volunteers, so come help.

  1. You should post this again if you are still looking for volunteers. I didn't see it on the calendar but was able to find this post via Google.
