Help to Raise Funds for MSANA -- Talk Compost!
Get outside folks! Exercise and meet your neighbors while talking about Portland’s compost program to help raise some extra funds for MSANA for cool neighborhood projects and activities!
What: The Bureau of Planning and Sustainability (BPS) invites neighborhood associations to mobilize volunteers to promote composting and raise money for their group.
Why: Portlanders are doing a great job at composting food scraps. It takes time to adapt to a new change and the City wants to answer questions and provide assistance with the changes.
How: BPS will provide training and materials and folks from the Mt. Scott-Arleta Neighborhood will earn $2.00 per conversation or $.50 per household not home for our Neighborhood Association! The more volunteers who show up, the more money we will raise for MSANA for cool neighborhood activities and projects!
When: SATURDAY, MAY 12 at 10:30 a.m. Training will start and canvassing will follow, for an hour or two or however long like. (Don’t worry, I’ll bring yummy snacks)
Where: OUR LADY OF SORROWS 5239 SE WOODSTOCK BLVD.
