April 4th: Learn more about Portland's Comprehensive Plan in relation to Mt. Scott-Arleta

Arleta Library Bakery and; Cafe, SE 72nd Ave.
The City of Portland is continuing its update the Comprehensive Plan and is reaching a point of more robust public involvement.  The Comprehensive Plan provides direction for City decision-making on land use, transportation, sewer and water systems and natural resource management plans.  It tells us what we want to happen in the future through a set of maps; goals and policies; and a list of projects.

At our April 4th Neighborhood Association Meeting, Matt Wickstrom, the Southeast District Liaison from the Bureau of Planning and Sustainability will explain the process, timeline and involvement opportunities for the update to the Comp Plan and hear from neighbors about connections between this effort and areas of interest to neighbors in Mt Scott-Arleta.

The Comp Plan will be informed by and help to implement the Portland Plan, a strategic plan for a prosperous, equitable, educated and healthy city.  Work in earlier stages will focus on policy development, later stages will focus on more discreet neighborhood and district-level issues and opportunities.
