Tomorrow is the Planting Day! Volunteer!

Woo Hoo Everybody...we're finally here: IT'S PLANTING TIME for Our Happy Block TOMORROW!

Help us get the garden going at the most happening community greenspace in the neighborhood!
We depaved a parking lot, and now we're ready to add a dash of paradise. 
we will PLANT over 1,000 native plants in rain gardens, swales and depaved areas! (Yessss, we will!)

Volunteer DETAILS:
Date: Saturday, October 22
Starting: 9:00 am - show up whenever you can help during the day
Site: Calvary Church parking-lot | 8040 SE Woodstock
Volunteers of all ages are welcome! Depave will provide volunteers with all the necessary tools and gloves.
Please wear clothing appropriate for the weather.

We are also looking for folks who have a lot of experience in landscaping to help lead volunteer crews.

This is an opportunity to testify about the 2012-13 Mayor’s Proposed Budget and provide your input to City Council. Thursday, May 17, 2012, 6:30-8:30 PM David Douglas High School 1001 SE 135th Ave. Portland, OR 97233 Sign-in at 6:30 PM. Testimony on the proposed Portland Development Commission (PDC) budget begins at 6:30 PM.  Testimony on the Proposed Budget for the City of Portland immediately follows. Testimony will be a maximum of two minutes, based on the number of people testifying.  Testimony order will be by random drawing. If you wish to testify, but your name is not drawn, you can submit comments in writing. Online comments are accepted and can be accessed from the budget website listed below. Mt. Scott-Arleta Movie in the Park

Join us Friday night, August 6th for the MSA Movie in the Park at Mt. Scott Park . Pre-movie activities start at 6:30pm. There'll be booths featuring local organizations, food, music and the ever popular Rock Climbing Wall. The movie starts at dusk. Bring a blanket, a picnic and your friends as we celebrate National Night Out. Movie will be The Princess Bride .
